Shades come with a removable plastic insert to allow use with a UK or European fitting.
 
Shades are backed with flame retardant PVC and I recommend using an energy saving bulb with them. They use less energy and are cool to the touch, avoiding the problem of scorching shades and ceilings.

Please allow 2-3 weeks for your shades to be made for you. It's often much quicker than this, but please allow for this time.
